Mini Red 1
For players progressing from Mini Tennis Red and Orange 3 who have developed their skills sufficiently to move onto a modified size court with low compression balls. Equipment, court size and rules are adapted to cater for the players’ ability. Sessions will cover co-ordination and movement, basic rules, technique and tactics of the game.
For players who have progressed from Mini Tennis Orange 2. Here children will continue to play on the Mini Tennis Orange court so that they can enhance their understanding of the game, including greater tactical awareness and more refined technique before progressing onto the next level. They must be able to play a full game and be able to score.
Mini Orange 1
Mini Orange 2
For children aged 8 years and over who are new to the game and wish to start learning tennis. Sessions will cover basic co-ordination and movement, racket and ball skills, basic strokes, tactics and getting players to rally, serve and score. The emphasis is very much on fun and skill learning.
Mini Orange 3
Mini Orange is the game for 9 year olds (born in 2000), played on a full-size court but with a shorter baseline, narrower sidelines and a lower net (80cm). Recommended racket size at this stage is 23-25" and low-compression Orange balls are used.

Here children will play on the Mini Tennis Red court but will also be introduced to the Mini Tennis Orange ball. This will allow the child to develop and further refine their skills so that progression up to the next level is made easier. Players progressing from this level must be able to play the game, understand the rules and have good major shapes on all major strokes.
Mini Red 2
For children aged 5 and over who have progressed through the first level. This course will develop the basic skills needed to play the game and will address basic technique and tactics and getting players to rally, serve and score.
For children aged 5-8 years, who wish to start learning tennis. Sessions will cover basic co-ordination and movement, racket and ball skills, basic strokes and various fun games. The emphasis is very much on fun and skill learning.
Mini Red 3
Mini Red is the game for under 8's (born in 2001 or later), played on a court that is approximately 1/4 the size of a regular tennis court with a lower net (80cm), using small tennis rackets (17-21") and sponge or low-bouncing felt balls.
Mini Red
Mini Tennis is the game of tennis modified for younger players on smaller sized courts, played with lighter rackets & lower bouncing tennis balls.
It is split into 3 stages: Red, Orange & Green.
Players progress through these stages according to their age, as follows- Red = 8yrs & under
- Orange = 9yrs
- Green = 10yrs
- For the 11+yrs is Junior Tennis
Mini Tennis (5-10yrs)
Our Coaching Courses run in 10-week blocks. The first ten-week block runs from September into November with an additional 3 weeks in December. The courses will inform you if the player is ready to move up to the next level, or if they need further improvement before progressing.
We run each stage in 3 levels: 3 - 2 - 1. Level 3 is for the beginners in that age-group and as players improve they will progress up through the levels.

Mini Green 3
Mini Green is the game for 10 year olds (born in 1999), played on a full-size court. Recommended racket size at this stage is 25-26" and low-compression Green balls are used.
For children aged 10 years and over who are new to the game and wish to start learning tennis. Sessions will cover basic co-ordination and movement, racket and ball skills, basic strokes, tactics and getting players to rally, serve and score. The emphasis is very much on fun and skill learning.
For children (10 years +) who have progressed through the lower levels. Sessions will focus on developing technique on all strokes and explore tactical situations incorporating a games based approach to enhance new skill and extend learning. Sessions will build on all aspects covered in Mini Tennis Orange.
For children (10 years +) who have progressed through Mini Tennis Green 2. Players in Green 1 should be technically competent in all areas and be able to execute shots with a variety of spin, pace, accuracy and control on a full size court. Sessions will use a games based approach to improve the players technical, tactical, physical and mental understanding of the game.
Junior Tennis (11+ yrs)
Our Junior Tennis Courses are for the 11-18 year olds. These courses help to improve technique, matchplay and tactics. Junior Tennis is played on a full size court, with full size (27") rackets and normal yellow tennis balls.

For players (12 yrs +) who have a good understanding of the rules and tactics for both singles and doubles. Players should be able to rally from the baseline and be able to play all the basic strokes with spin, pace and accuracy. Sessions will cover technical, tactical, physical and mental aspects of the game
Junior Gold
For children (11 yrs +) who are able to rally consistently from the baseline with both forehands and backhands. They must be able to play all basic shots with a variety of spins and have an understanding of the rules and tactics for both singles and doubles. Sessions will include drills, games and tactics to assist in the development of singles and doubles matchplay.
Junior Silver
For children (11yrs +) who are keen to play tennis, but are too old for the Mini Tennis Programme. Sessions are intended to provide a basic knowledge of all shots, providing individuals with the abiliy to maintain a groundstroke rally from the baseline, serve overarm and play a game of singles/doubles. Will also provide a basic knowledge of the rules. Sessions to include technical and tactical development incorporated within drills and fun games
